The Cappagh boys featured in the U11 league final today in Moorefield. In a nail-biting game, the Cappagh boys fought tooth and nail for every ball against a strong Milltown team. They Milltown team proved too strong in the second half and pulled away in the end. Thank you to Martin Mc Dermott and Niall O' Haire for their help and training.

This is a photo of our weather station display screen. Each day the children can see the current weather conditions, including atmospheric pressure, temperature, wind direction and speed and sunrise and sunset times. This amazing piece of equipment was supplied to us by Met Éireann and RTE.

The AED group has had difficulties retaining members through the winter and spring, and unfortunately have had to disband. This means there will be no AED cover for the summer months.
If we can recruit new members for training, it will hopefully be possible to re-instate this most valuable service. No medical background is required and all training will be provided by the Irish Red Cross. In the past, this training was provided in the school itself.

The year is finally drawing to a close. The school staff, Board of Management and Parents' Council wish to thank everyone in the school community for helping make this year a successful one.
We will have a graduation Mass for the children in 6th Class at 1.15pm Friday June 26th. All are welcome as this usually takes place outdoors. School closes on Tue June 30th at 12 noon.

We began planting in our garden on April 2nd and 3rd. Each class prepared the seed beds and began planting the seeds and plants. We planted cabbage, lettuce, carrots, leeks, beetroot and strawberries.
Thank you most sincerely to Paul Grogan and his team for all their help in providing the seed beds and soil.

Past pupil Amy visited us recently with some of her pets. She showed us some lizards, a chameleon, gerbils and gecco. She told the children of the animals habitat, diet and physical features.
